HOW TO ELIMINATE ACNE IN FACE

Although acne or pimples can develop anywhere on your body, but forehead is one of the most common areas where acne can breakout and pimples appear. Forehead is a part of “T-Zone” where the face produces most of its oil, along with the nose. The forehead is also that part of your body, which frequently comes in to contact with oils, conditioners, shampoos, dyes, hair split-end treatments, and hair mousse from your hair resulting into getting even more oil from such products than the scalp. This combination of all these factors makes the forehead more prone to occurrence of acne and pimples, particularly just above eyebrows and just below hairline. Pimples form when oil, dead skin cells and bacteria clog inside of the hair follicle. These can take the shape of whiteheads, blackheads, papule or pustule on forehead.

There are many causes for occurrence of pimples and acne on forehead. The main reasons that trigger them are given below:

1. Clogged Pores: This is the prime cause for acne trigger and pimple development anywhere. The forehead lies in the “T-zone”, the most oil producing area, resulting into the pores located on the forehead to get clogged more likely – leading to acne trigger. The remedy is to steam your face, including forehead, once or twice a month. But take care to not to overdo steaming, as excessive steaming is not advisable for acne prone skin.

2. Hair Dandruff: Hair Dandruff is also a prime cause for acne and pimples on forehead. The most effective remedy is getting rid of dandruff by using a good quality anti-dandruff shampoo, and wow your forehead acne will disappear fast.

3. Oily Scalp: An oily scalp tends to dribble oil on the forehead that can cause clogged pores and thus pimples can occur on your forehead. If this is the reason for your forehead pimples, the best natural remedy is to wash your hair more often to keep your scalp oil-free.

4. Certain Medications: Some medications, such as birth control pills, have a tendency to cause pimples or acne on the forehead in case of certain people. The remedy in such cases is to consult your doctor and check the medicine’s side effects concerning hormonal issues.

5. Unbalanced Diet And Digestive Issues: In case you don’t have the above issues, poor digestion can be another probable cause. If such is the case, you need to have a balanced diet. Drink lots of water and include more of green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Avoid those foods that upset your tummy, such as fried foods.

6. Certain Hair Products: Certain hair styling products, such as hair spray, serum or heat protectant can be the culprits when they come into contact with your forehead to trigger acne and pimples. If such is the case with you then switch over to organic hair products.

7. High Level of Stress: This is another cause for development of acne or pimples. The simple remedy is to live a healthy life style. You can try meditation or yoga to reduce stress. Exercising, listening to music and pursuing your hobby are the other options to reduce stress.

8. Over Exfoliation: Too much of a good thing can be bad!! Although exfoliation aids in getting rid of dead skin cells and rejuvenates your skin, too much of it can lead to skin irritation and triggering of acne. Doing exfoliation is a good skin care routine, but do not do it more than twice a week.

9. Helmets and Caps: This can be a reason for those who drive two wheelers and wear helmets. As mostly people don’t clean their helmets regularly like the makeup brushes, the inside of helmets becomes sticking ground for dust, germs and bacteria. This then becomes a reason for acne to break out on your forehead. The remedies are that one you keep clean inside of your helmet free from dust and two cover your head with a clean cotton cloth while wearing helmet.

10. Hormonal Issues and Genetic Reasons: The hormonal and genetic factors can also cause forehead pimples and acne. Genetic factors are most difficult to treat. The hormonal problems can be resolved with the help of your doctor.

Tips for Preventing Acne

1. Keep your face clean. Whether or not you have acne, it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface. Washing more often than twice daily is not necessarily better; it may do more harm than good. Use warm, not hot, water and a mild facial cleanser. Using a harsh soap (like deodorant body soap) can hurt the already inflamed skin and cause more irritation.

Avoid scrubbing your skin harshly with a washcloth, exfoliating glove, or loofah (a coarse-textured sponge). Gently wash it with your clean hands or a very soft cloth. Always rinse well, and then dry your face with a clean towel. (Toss the towel in the laundry hamper, as dirty towels spread bacteria.)

2. Moisturize. Many acne products contain ingredients that dry the skin, so always use a moisturizer that minimizes dryness and skin peeling. Look for "noncomedogenic" on the label, which means it should not cause acne. There are moisturizers made for oily, dry, or combination skin.

3. Try an over-the-counter acne product. These acne products don't need a prescription. They may have ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or lactic acid, which curb bacteria and dry your skin. Start with a small amount at first. Then you can adjust how much you use and how often, depending on how much peeling or drying you have. Use these products with caution if you have sensitive skin.

4. Use makeup sparingly. During a breakout, avoid wearing foundation, powder, or blush. If you do wear makeup, wash it off at the end of the day. If possible, choose oil-free cosmetics without added dyes and chemicals. Choose makeup that is labeled as "noncomedogenic," meaning it should not cause acne. Read the ingredients list on the product label before buying.

5. Watch what you put on your hair. Avoid using fragrances, oils, pomades, or gels on your hair. If they get on your face, they can block your skin's pores and irritate your skin. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner. Oily hair can add to the oil on your face, so wash your hair often, especially if you're breaking out. Got long hair? Keep it pulled away from your face.

6. Keep your hands off your face. Avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring.

7. Stay out of the sun. The sun's ultraviolet rays can increase inflammation and redness. Some acne medications may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Limit your time in the sun, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and a broad-brimmed hat. Whether you have pimples or not, always apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Look for "noncomedogenic" on the sunscreen label to make new pimples less likely. Read the ingredients on the product label to know what you're putting on your skin.

8. Feed your skin. Most experts agree that certain foods, like chocolate, don't cause pimples. Still, it makes sense to avoid greasy food and junk food and add more fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains to your diet.

9. Exercise daily. Regular exercise is good for your whole body, including your skin. When you exercise, avoid wearing clothing or using exercise equipment that rubs your skin and may cause irritation. Shower or bathe right after exercise.

10. Chill! Some studies link stress with the severity of pimples or acne. Ask yourself what's making you feel stressed. Then look for solutions.

how to remove blackheads on the face

After doing the list on home remedies for acne, we started getting a lot of questions about blackheads in particular. Common and annoying, blackheads occur when your pores become clogged with excess sebum (an oil created by the sebaceous glands that keeps skin supple) and dead skin cells.

The difference between a black head and a white head is simply whether or not the pore is open or closed. If the pore is open, the plug of sebum/skin cells oxidizes as it is in contact with the oxygen in the air, which turns it black. Blackheads are not caused by dirt. Let’s make that clear from the beginning.

Scrubbing your face obsessively is not a good way to get rid of your blackheads, and is only going to make it worse as you’ll just end up drying out your skin, which will cause more oil to be created to make up for everything you stripped away, and…well it’s a vicious cycle. For this reason, don’t use some of these remedies more than 2-3 times a week, such as the sugar scrub and pore strips. I know it can be hard to resist, but your skin will be better off this way.

1. Clay Time

Bentonite clay is a mineral rich healing substance that has been used for centuries to treat a number of ailments, chiefly skin related. Because of its molecules “electrical charge” when wet, it does an amazing job of drawing out oils or other impurities locked in your pores. When you apply the mask your skin gets to drink in all the minerals, while the clay simultaneously draws out the blackhead. It also helps with circulation, which helps with overall skin tone and health. You can mix the clay with water or apple cider vinegar, maybe sticking to the former if you have dry or sensitive skin. Experiment! This mask will make you feel like your face is tightening as it dries. Whether or not you let it dry entirely is up to your preference-I tend to let it dry most of the way and then just moisturize afterwards, but other people find that dries their skin out and irritates them.

You will need…

-1 tablespoon (roughly) bentonite clay
-Water or ACV

Directions

Mix in enough water or ACV to form a paste that is thick but still applicable. Using clean fingertips cover your face with a thinner layer of paste and let it sit for 10-25 minutes, depending on how long you are letting it dry. Rinse off with lukewarm water and moisturize as usual.

2. Egg White Mask

Egg whites form an easy mask that can be used to temporarily tighten pores, thus reducing chances of future blackheads, and will also remove current blackheads. Egg whites are also rich in nutrients for your skin, and are a little less drying than some other home remedies for blackheads.

You will need…

-1 egg
-Facial tissue or toilet paper
-A small bowl
-A clean towel

Directions

Separate the yolk from the white and rinse your face. Pat your face dry and then apply a thin layer of egg white over your skin. There are two ways to go from here-

Place a strip of facial tissue or toilet paper over the wet egg white, being sure to press it onto your face gently. Allow the first layer to dry. Carefully apply a second layer of egg white over the tissue (try dipping your fingers in it and dabbing it on so the tissue doesn’t slide around a bunch. Let this layer dry as well before applying a third (optional.) When the mask is dry, your face may feel tight-this is supposed to happen. Peel the tissue off, and then gently wash your face to remove any residue. Pat dry and moisturize as usual.

Alternatively, you can leave out the tissue and simply apply 3-5 layers of egg white, being sure to let each layer dry in between applications. If you do not let the layers dry, this will not work!

3. Honey and Milk Pore Strips

Milk and honey both have properties that are good for skin. Honey has antibacterial properties, and the lactic acid in milk is said to help keep skin soft and supple. The main purpose here though is, when mixed together, to act as an adhesive.

You will need…

-1 tablespoon of organic raw honey
-1 teaspoon of milk
-Clean strip of cotton

Directions

Mix 1 tablespoon of organic raw honey with 1 teaspoon of milk. Heat it for 5-10 seconds in the microwave, and then mix again to blend thoroughly. When it’s a comfortable temperature, apply a thin layer over blackheads, and then gently but firmly pat a strip of dry, clean, cotton onto it. Let dry (to play it safe, wait at least 20 minutes) and carefully peel the strip away. Rinse with cold water and moisturize as usual.

4. Cinnamon & Honey Strips

It sounds like a delicious candy, but cinnamon and honey make a wonderful combination for getting rid of blackheads. Again, the anti-bacterial agents in the honey can help keep away bacteria that are causing acne (not necessarily blackheads, but still a bonus) as well as act as the adhesive to pull out anything clogging your pores. Cinnamon improves circulation, and this increased blood flow gives your skin a smooth, healthy, glow.

You will need…

- 1 part cinnamon powder
-1 part organic, raw, honey
-Clean strips of cotton

Directions

Mix the honey and the cinnamon together until you have enough paste to cover the affected area. Apply in a thin layer over the blackheads and then press a strip of clean cotton over it. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes before removing and rinsing your face. Don’t forget to follow up with a moisturizer!

5. H2O Daily Blackhead Treatment

While pore strips and face masks work wonders, they can only be used several times a week to avoid drying your skin out to much. If you want to do something daily to prevent your blackheads, a gentle rinsing with water 1-2 times a day is the way to go. This keeps things that can make your pores appear larger-such as excess sebum and dead skin-flushed away and your pores clear. Be sure to use a light moisturizer when you are done to prevent your skin from trying to produce excess sebum to accommodate for dryness.

You will need…

-Fresh water
-A clean fluffy towel
-Moisturizer

Directions

Twice a day splash your face with clean, fresh water. Pat dry with a soft towel and apply moisturizer as usual. I suggest doing this early afternoon (so you wash away anything that has built up in the first part of the day) and evening, but morning and evening works as well.

6. Toner for Tighter Pores

Since blackheads are caused by open, clogged, pores reacting to oxygen, it only makes sense that “shrinking” your pores down will help. Lemon juice is just the astringent substance needed to get the job done, however, it can lighten skin temporarily and it does make you sensitive to the sun, so load up on sunscreen if you plan on using this method in the summertime. If you have sensitive skin, try diluting the lemon juice with water first.

You will need…

-1 lemon
-cotton balls
-A small bottle

Directions

Rinse your face and pat dry. Squeeze the lemon juice into a small bottle and then use just enough to dampen a cotton ball. Apply to affected areas 3-4 times a week, at bedtime. When you wake up, rinse your face with luke-warm water and apply moisturizer as usual. Store the rest of the juice in the refrigerator for up to a week. Be aware-the juice can sting sometimes!

7. Sweat It Out

Although sweat glands and hair follicle pores aren’t the same thing, sweating can still help minimize blackheads. When you work up enough of a sweat, the liquid naturally flows over and softens/flushes anything clogging your pores. It is absolutely vital, however, that you wash your face immediately before and immediately afterwards, otherwise the affect can be detrimental. If you leave on make up or anything before this the sweat can carry it into your pores, and if you don’t wash afterwards not only is all that stuff still in there but now there’s dried sweat blocking up your pores as well. So on one hand sweat can cleanse pores, on the other; it could also clog them. Be sure to do it right from the start!

You will need…

-Motivation to exercise OR a steam room/sauna
-Fresh water
-A clean fluffy towel

Directions

Rinse your face, than work up a good sweat. Rinse your face with water, than pat dry with a clean fluffy towel. Moisturize as usual.

8. Baking Soda & Water

A little baking soda goes a long way for blackheads, but don’t overdo it, as it can seriously dry out your skin thanks to its saltiness. While pH may or may not have a role to play in blackheads, the biggest reason baking soda helps is because of it’s small, fine, granules that can work as a natural and inexpensive way to occasionally exfoliate and remove anything clogging your pores (and therefore causing blackheads.)

You will need…

-1 part baking soda
-Fresh water

Directions

Mix water with enough baking soda to form a thick, but spreadable, paste. Using a gentle circular motion, massage the paste into your skin. Rinse thoroughly with plain water, pat your face dry, and then make sure you moisturize.

9. Cleansing Sugar Scrub

Sometimes all you need is a good exfoliating followed up by moisturizing. Exfoliating does one very important job-it sloughs away dead skin cells. These are the skin cells that could potentially clog up your pores, leading to acne, whiteheads, and of course, blackheads. It also temporarily revives circulation and it leaves you with a healthy glow and soft skin. If possible use jojoba oil, as it is the oil (technically liquid wax) that most closely mimics our skins own sebum. If you don’t have jojoba oil, grapeseed, olive, or sweet almond oil are all fine substitutes

You will need…

-1 cup of sugar (brown or white)
-4 tablespoons of jojoba oil
-An airtight glass jar
-Essential oils (optional)

Directions

Mix 4 tablespoons of oil into 1 cup of sugar, stirring until everything is fully incorporated. Add several drops of essential oil for fragrance if you like. Store in a cool dark place in a glass jar for up to the shelf-life of the oil you chose to use (although if for some reason I haven’t used it all, I personally make a fresh batch after about 1 ½ months.) Stir before using and then wet face, scoop some scrub onto your fingertips, and massage it over your skin in circular motions. Rinse with water and moisturize as usual. Do this no more than 2-3 times a week, otherwise you risk drying out and/or irritating your skin.

10. Steam It Out

Steam may not literally open your pores (see blackhead myths below) but it can help reduce the appearance of them by softening up trapped sebum/dead skin cells that can fill out your pores and form blackheads.

You will need…

-A large bowl
-Water
-A soft clean towel

Directions

Fill a bowl with boiling water. Let it cool briefly, then cover your head with a towel and lean over it for 5-10 minutes to allow the steam to loosen anything in your pores (form the towel like a tent so no steam escapes.) Be careful not to get to close or you risk burning your skin. When you are done, rinse your face with warm water and pat firmly but gently dry with a clean towel (or gently wipe away the blackheads.) Moisturize as usual. Repeat this several times a week, or as needed.

Skin care is a balancing act-keep that in mind whenever you’re doing something that involves cleansing or washing (or pore strips.) Overdoing it is going to make matter much worse in the long run. Pore strips are great when you really need them, but it’s best to try and prevent the blackheads in the first place by keeping up a good skin care regime.

11. Apple Cider Vinegar & Mint Toner

Make your own toner by mixing together ACV and crushed mint leaves. The apple cider vinegar can help breakdown the stuff causing the blackhead, while the mint creates a cooling “tightening” sensation on your skin. If the area around the blackhead is swollen or irritated (e.g. you were picking at it even though you shouldn’t be) the menthol can help tame the inflammation. Inflammation can make it harder for whatever is clogging your pores to come loose in the first place.

You will need…

-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
-3 tablespoons of finely chopped/crushed fresh mint leaves
-8 ounces of water
-Cotton balls

Directions

Combine vinegar and mint in a small bottle and let it sit for 1 week in cool dark place. Strain, add a cup of water, and store in the refrigerator for up to 6 days. Use nightly, rinsing your face first with water and then using clean cotton balls to apply the toner. Leave on overnight or up to several hours (if you have sensitive skin) and rinse off in the morning. Follow up with a moisturizer.

HOW TO ELIMINATE IN THE FACE BLACK SPOTS

Many black spots or dark patches can be easily lightened or eliminated to restore a glowing facial complexion. Dark spots, patches and other marks on the face may be due to excess secretion of melanin on the skin. Some factors that can lead to this condition include over exposure to the sun, hormone imbalance, pregnancy, certain medications, vitamin deficiencies, lack of sleep and too much stress.

Spots and patches on the face can be embarrassing and even lead to low self-esteem. Luckily, there are many possible treatments, such as acid peels and laser surgeries. Simple, natural homemade remedies also may reduce the appearance of spots and other blemishes on your face.

Here are top 10 home remedies for Black Spots on Face.

1. Lemon Juice
A quick and easy solution can be found in your kitchen or your nearest grocery store — lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark spots on your face. It’s easy to apply.

Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area.
Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water.
Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result.
If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. You can also use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner as described above.

Take four teaspoons of buttermilk.
Add two teaspoons of fresh tomato juice.

Wash it off after 15 minutes.

The lactic acid in milk too, will gradually reduce skin pigmentation, and brighten and tone your overall skin complexion. So, if you do not have buttermilk, simply apply soak a cotton ball in milk and dab it directly on your spots. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off Put milk on a cotton ball and dab it directly on your spots. Repeat this procedure twice daily for four to five weeks.

You can also prepare a solution by mixing milk and honey and apply the solution to your dark spots, leaving it on for 10 minutes.

3. Oats
Oatmeal powder is considered good for skin exfoliation. Hence, you can apply an oatmeal mask on your face and neck to remove dead skin and black spots.

Grind half a cup of rolled oats.
Add three to four tablespoons of lemon juice to make a paste.
Scrub it on your skin and wash it off with warm water when it dries.
If it becomes messy, use a clean cloth soaked in warm water to remove the mask. Follow this treatment once or twice a week.

4. Almonds
Take 8-10 almonds and soak them in milk overnight.
Peel off the skin and grind the almonds in the morning.
Now, add one teaspoon sandalwood powder and half a teaspoon honey in it.
Mix them to make a fine paste.
Apply it on your face.
Leave it on for about 30 minutes and then wash it off.

5. Sandalwood
Sandalwood is another effective option.

Make a thick paste of sandalwood powder, glycerin and rose water. (If you don’t have rose water, you can use milk or honey.)
Apply the thick paste to the affected skin area, leaving it on for a few minutes. Wash off the paste with lukewarm water.
Follow this remedy once daily until your black spots vanish completely.

6. Potato
Your vegetable drawer is another source of home remedies for black spots or dark patches. Potatoes can be applied in one of the two ways:

Slice up a potato and place one slice directly on the black spots; leave on for a few minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water.
You can also make a face mask by combining grated potato with honey.
Some people have also had success using tomatoes to get rid of dark black spots within a few weeks.

7. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera has many healing properties and is a great natural dark spot corrector.

Apply aloe vera juice or gel directly on dark patches and black spots.
Gently massage the area with your fingertips for a few minutes.
Repeat this once or twice daily for a few weeks to fade skin discolorations.
If it becomes messy, use a clean cloth soaked in warm water to remove the mask. Follow this treatment once or twice a week.

Vitamin E oil and castor oil, too, are useful in getting rid of black spots.

8. Turmeric
Turmeric is another popular skin-lightening agent that can be used to get rid of black spots on your face. It is also effective for quickly removing sun spots and age spots.

Make a thick paste of turmeric, milk and lemon juice.
Apply it to the skin where there are black spots.
Leave it on for a few minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Another option is to make a paste of turmeric, honey and olive oil and gently massage it into the affected skin area. Leave it on until it completely dries and then wash the area with water.

9. Papaya
The enzymes in papaya can help even out skin tone and aid in fading black spots. For example, papaya contains papain, an enzyme that exfoliates the skin encouraging production of new, fresher-looking skin. There are two ways that you can use papaya.

Apply the pulp of ripe papaya to the skin and leave it on for about 20 minutes; then rinse it off.
Another option is to grate green papaya and add lime juice to it. Apply this mixture to black spots and allow it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.
You can also use papaya skin as an excellent scrub for knees and elbows.

10. Onion Juice
Onion juice — made using a juicer, blender or grater – can be applied in a couple of ways.

Dip a clean cotton swab into fresh onion juice and dab it directly on the affected skin area and allow it to dry naturally.
Another option is to apply a combination of one tablespoon of onion juice and two tablespoons of honey on the spots for about 20 minutes. If you have oily skin, you can add some vinegar in the solution as well.
Important notes:

Depending on a number of factors, these home remedies may only help to lighten the color of facial spots and not remove them. For more conventional therapies, you should consult a dermatologist.
New spots or skin variations may need to be examined by a physician to ensure they are not due to a more serious health condition..OK TANKS...!!

How to Remove Fine Lines and Wrinkles in the Face

While wrinkles and fine lines are a normal part of aging, they make the skin appear tired and can be of significant cosmetic concern, especially for women. You can prevent premature wrinkling by avoiding the sun and taking proper care of your skin, but wrinkles caused by genetics and aging are not avoidable. Fortunately, mild cases of wrinkles usually respond to treatment with over-the-counter or prescription creams. Deep wrinkles may require more invasive removal methods.

Step 1
Moisturize every morning and night to keep your skin hydrated and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Properly hydrated skin is plumper, which helps mask wrinkles and makes the skin appear more youthful.

Step 2
Try an over-the-counter wrinkle cream containing hydroxy acids, copper peptides, retinol or kinetin. These products contain ingredients that work by removing the surface layer of facial skin or by stimulating the production of collagen. The CNN Health website states that over-the-counter wrinkle creams may cause a slight improvement in crow's feet and wrinkles when used daily for many weeks.

Step 3
Use a prescription-strength medication, such as tretinoin or tazarotene, to remove face wrinkles that fail to respond to over-the-counter products. Prescription wrinkle creams containing vitamin A derivatives may cause skin irritation, burning, dryness, redness and itchiness and increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. For this reason, it is important to use the lowest effective dose and to wear sunscreen at all times while using one of these medications.

Step 4
Wear sunscreen on your face every day. Sun exposure contributes significantly to skin aging and wrinkles, reports CNN Health. Protecting your skin from UV light prevents the formation of new wrinkles, allows wrinkle creams to work more effectively and may help reduce the appearance of existing wrinkles.

Step 5
Undergo skin resurfacing to remove the surface layer of your skin and remove fine lines and wrinkles. Procedure such as dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, laser therapy, and chemical peels improve the skin's appearance by removing damaged skin so that younger looking, smoother skin can grow in its place.

Step 6
Try injectable fillers, such as collagen, fat or hyaluronic acid, to smooth out wrinkles and improve your skin's appearance. Filler injections may cause temporary side effects and must typically be repeated every few months.

Step 7
Ask your doctor if a surgical face-lift procedure can effectively remove your facial wrinkles. A face-lift improves the skin's appearance by removing excess fat and skin and tightening the underlying connective tissue and muscles in your face. A face-lift may remove wrinkles for as many as 10 years, depending on the location of your wrinkles.

TIPS TO PERFECT BROWS

Get your brows professionally waxed or threaded every now and then if budget permits.

If you find someone who does this for a living, he/she can give you a great shape to your brows.  The goal is to have the arch of the brow just outside your pupil.

Thicker is better.
Generally, fuller brows portray youth, so obviously keeping them thicker makes you look younger :) You still want to shape them, but go easy on the tweezers!  Yes you. Put the tweezers down.

Step away….
Shape accordingly.
Ideally you want the inner part of your brow to be thicker, then taper to a thinner line as it goes toward your temple. Again, the arch should be just outside your pupil.

For super dark brows, you may need to lighten them.

If you have fair skin and very dark brows, you may need to lighten them.  Because my skin is fair and my brows are black, I bleach them slightly with facial bleach to make them less harsh.  Leave the bleach on only for 5 minutes or you will have orange brows!  (Trust me, I learned this from experience.  I had Ronald McDonald brows for 3 weeks last year.

Find brow powders/pencils/gels with a khaki tint to them- not red.

Because hair naturally has a khaki undertone to it, using a brow pencil that has a touch of khaki color will look more natural.  For whatever reason, most companies have reddish tinted brow products. This color just screams “Fake!”
The best products I’ve found is Rimmel’s Brow Pencil in “Hazel” or Makeup Forever’s Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector in “O” or “2”.  (0 is good for blondes or fair skin brunettes, 2 is good for dark haired beauties)

For the most natural brows, use powder instead of pencil.

For the most natural brows, use a matte finish tan or brown eyeshadow to fill in with.  Take an angled brow brush and apply shadow to sparse areas.  The best color for blondes is MAC’s eyeshadow in “Symmetry” or “Wedge“. For brunettes, it’s MAC’s eyeshadow in “Cork“.

Shade accordingly.
Not the entire brow is going to be the same darkness all throughout.  Generally, the arch and the tail of the brow should be the most defined and the darkest.  The inner part should be slightly more sparse and lighter.

See Kim K’s brows below- they’re a bit more sparse in the inner part of the brow.   Also, cut the hairs here a bit shorter so they “sprout” a bit more

Clean up around the edges.
For very defined and “clean” brows, take a small flat brush and apply creamy concealer under the brows to tidy up the edges.  You probably don’t need this step for everyday, but for those more defined brows to go with dramatic looks, this helps sharpen them a bit.

Tame the strays!
I don’t know about you, but my brows are slightly curly and crazay! I have to keep them in place with a brow gel.  Anastasia makes some amazing ones in different colors that is great for on the go. I also like MAC’s eyebrow wax pencils as they keep the brows shaped nicely throughout the day.

Finding the right tips for eyebrow makeup isn't easy, believe me, I've been trying to years! What that means, is that I was able to take all of my experience in finding the best tips for eyebrow makeup and share them with you! So ladies, if you've had problems finding tips for eyebrow makeup to make you look beautiful, don't worry, I've got your back!

1. USE EYEBROW SHADOW

When you're using your eyeshadow, one of the most common mistakes that many women make is bringing the eyeshadow up to the brow! Not only does bringing those colors up to your brow highlight your brow, but it'll bring out your eyes! So ladies, try this tip for eyebrow makeup, I promise, it'll make all of the difference!

2. TRY BROW GEL

Now, I actually didn't know they made gel specifically for your eyebrows, but they do! Using eyebrow gel, just a small amount is a great way to keep your eyebrow hairs in check and keep them slicked back. This is for sure one of the tips for eyebrow makeup that really works!

3. TRIM YOUR BROWS

I wouldn't suggest doing this yourself, but a professional can definitely trim your eyebrows down a little so those hairs don't get out of control. If you happen to get your eyebrows waxed, just ask for a trim and the stylist would be happy to do it! This will help the eyebrow shape and will truly help any makeup you put under your eyebrows stand out.

4. PLUCK FOR PERFECT SHAPE

Let's say you don't want to get your eyebrows waxed, that's okay! You can definitely pluck your own brows, just remember, the shape is very important so make sure you are following along the natural curve of your brow. Personally, I am so scared of plucking my own brows, how do you ladies do it?

5. FILL IN WITH A EYEBROW PENCIL

Let's say that you've plucked a little too much. That's okay! There are eyebrow pencils out there to help you. Also, if you don't have a lot of hair along your brow and have some holes, the eyebrow pencil will help out! Remember, one of the tips for eyebrow makeup is choosing the right color of pencil for you!

6. CHOOSE THE RIGHT COLOR

Speaking of colors, choosing the right color for your eyebrow pencil is very, very important. You don't want to get a black eyebrow pencil if you have light brown eyebrows. You want it to look natural.

7. BRUSH YOUR BROWS

Finally ladies, make sure that you are brushing your brows up. This is a great way to ensure that your brows look perfect when you are placing makeup under them. Also, one of the tips for eyebrow makeup that you should follow is choosing lighter colors that highlight your brow, rather than dark colors that might draw away from them.

So ladies, these are my top tips for eyebrow makeup, do you have any more to share? What challenges have you had with eyebrow makeup? Did any of these tips for eyebrow makeup help? Come on, share!

TIPS CLEAN YOUR MICROWAVE IN MINUTES WITH THIS SIMPLE

There’s nothing worse than heating up a piece of pizza in the microwave and tasting last night’s chicken and rice and this morning’s oatmeal. If you open the door and smell pork roast from two days ago, it’s time to clean that thing and a paper towel with warm water isn’t enough. The inside of your microwave should be white. If it isn’t, you better get to cleaning. The process is incredibly easy and will only take about five minutes.

Step 1

Fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and add either a drizzle of dish soap or a tablespoon of white vinegar, whichever you have handy.

Step 2

Let it cook for about two minutes depending on how strong your microwave is. You want it to get nice and steamy but not boil over.

Step 3

Keep the door closed and let the steam do its work for about three minutes.

Step 4

Carefully remove the bowl, because it’s going to be hot.

Step 5

Wipe off all the sides with a paper towel, and clean the plate like a normal plate.

If you don’t have dish soap or vinegar, cut a lemon in half, put it in a bowl full of water, and cook it for five minutes. This option is the most natural and the warm lemon makes your kitchen smell nice for a few hours.

Ok. Tanks......

How to clean your laptop of dust and dirt

Most of us recognise the noise - the incessant whirring of an overworked laptop fan, struggling to keep a computer cool. You might put it down to old age, assuming that notebooks always get noisier and hotter until, eventually, they just stop working.

That doesn't have to be the case though. When your laptop is starting to get on a bit, overheating and shutting down on its own, it might not be worn out - it might just be dirty.
However clean you keep the outside of your notebook, dust inevitably gets sucked into fans, crumbs fall into keyboards and fluff gets into vents.
We have already looked at how to clean the inside of your desktop computer to keep it running smoothly. You can do the same to your laptop, but it's a much more complicated job, requiring a good deal of technical confidence and steady nerves.
To help you get started, we've put together a few tips on tearing down and cleaning the inside of your mobile machine.
Laptop model designs vary considerably. You can broadly assume that machines in the same range will disassemble in the same way, but that's no guarantee. Peculiarities in design can arise due to specific configurations.
In some cases you may be able to access the internal parts you need to clean through panels on the bottom of the case. For example, if you can get to the CPU, heatsink and fan without having to take apart your machine, then the cleaning process will be much shorter, easier and less likely to end in tears.
Flip your notebook over and have a good look right now. See if you can identify the panels. There are likely to be access panels for RAM, your hard drive and optical drives and, if you're lucky, the main board.
If motherboard access isn't offered here, you may need to take a deep breath and partially dismantle the notebook.
As we said, laptop assembly varies between brands and models, but there are two main ways to get into most notebooks - through the top or through the bottom.
If your machine is accessed from the bottom, you're in luck. These machines are often easier to disassemble - at least enough to access the bits that you'll need to clean. If your laptop has to be cracked open from the top down, you'll generally have to start by removing the keyboard.
Our advice is never to go blundering in. You should always start your teardown routine by sourcing and reading a manual carefully. The document we're talking about here is a different one to the user manual that came in your laptop box.
It's called a service manual or maintenance manual. How easy it is to get hold of will depend on your manufacturer. Try visiting your notebook manufacturer's website first, and look under 'Support' for maintenance documents. If that fails, try Repair4Laptop, which is a free database with links to service manuals and teardown guides for hundreds of machines.
Tooling up
You've got a laptop that needs cleaning and a service manual. Now what you need are the right tools to start the job. We'll divide these into case-opening tools and cleaning tools for convenience. You'll need a set of electrical screwdrivers to handle the small Philips and flat-head screws found in notebook cases.
If you have a Dell or Apple notebook, you may also need to find a set of TORX screwdrivers. A search on Maplin's website reveals you shouldn't have to pay much more than a fiver per set.

Torx screwdrivers

A plastic putty knife or guitar plectrum is a handy thing to have when you're opening notebooks. You can use it to pry open seams held together by plastic clips.

Plectrum

As for cleaning, you'll need similar tools to those you'd use when cleaning out a desktop machine. A can of compressed air, a soft-bristled brush and a small vacuum cleaner may all come in handy. You'll use the vacuum cleaner far less than you would when cleaning a desktop machine.
There's much less space inside a laptop for dust to waft around, so it tends to gather in wads. These are much easier to remove with a pair of tweezers. Don't be tempted to pick these bits out with your fingers, because grease transferred to electronic contacts can exacerbate your computer's hygiene issues.
Finally, you'll need some cotton buds and a little surgical spirit. Get them from a pharmaceutical discount shop.
Under the hood
With your cleaning kit at the ready, it's time to remove some real grime. Power down your laptop, unplug it from the mains and then remove the battery. We'll target specific areas that usually need to be cleaned.

Keyboard

Your computer's keyboard is likely to be the most contaminated part of the machine, with crumbs, dust and dandruff dropping into it all day. Now imagine what it must be like underneath.
Task one is to remove the keyboard and clean underneath it. In most cases, the keyboard will be held in place by two or three screws, hidden underneath a clip-on panel that runs along the top of the upper case. Every laptop model is different though, which is where your service manual comes in.
One last tip before you proceed: ground yourself before you begin work to dissipate any static charge. Touch a radiator or the fridge, or better still, wear an anti-static wristband as you work.
In most configurations, your keyboard will fixed in place at the top end. At the bottom end there'll be some plastic lugs that slide into slots, so once you've removed the screws at the top you can usually pull the keyboard unit towards you. Don't just yank it out though - you'll damage its connector.
When it's at an angle of about 45 degrees, you should see the ribbon connector under it. Disconnect this from the mainboard.
Chances are that you're now looking at a lot of metal or plastic shielding, much of it covered in an assortment of stale crumbs, eyelashes and inexplicable tiny bits of grit. Who knows how that stuff gets in there, but your trusty vacuum cleaner can be used to get it out.
If, at this stage, you can remove the top of your case and get under the trackpad with your cleaner, even better.
Motherboard and case
Under that protective shield, in many cases, you'll find the motherboard. In some notebook builds you may be able to access it from the bottom up. Either way, there's little subtlety required in the cleaning process here.
Any gaps in the casing will attract balls of dust, and these can be extracted with your trusty tweezers. A light cleaning with the soft-bristled brush should help to remove any layering of dust on components. Make sure you sweep it out of the case.

heatsink

The real targets here are the laptop's heat sink and fan, where dust tends to gather and can have the most impact on performance. If you access these from the top of the case, proceed cautiously and make sure you're keeping track of screws as you remove them.
Some laptops give you direct access to the heat sink and fans through a panel at the bottom. If that's the case, follow the tips above for dealing with access panels.
Before we proceed any further, it's important to remember that if you have to remove a heat sink that's in direct contact with the machine's CPU, you'll need to wipe the top of the chip clean and re-apply a thin layer of thermal grease before refitting it. Use cotton buds and a little surgical spirit to do this. Wipe away any old grease with a lint-free cloth.

Again, refer to your service manual for full details of the procedure, which will differ depending on your laptop's internal configuration. If you omit this essential stage, your laptop may overheat and shut down. In a worst-case scenario, the machine may refuse to power up at all.
Heat sink
The next step depends on the kind of heat sink used in your machine. If it's a classic, fin-style heat sink, then you can clean it in place without removing it. The dust on the heat sink could be compressed enough for you to pick it free with your tweezers in one fluffy, continuous wad. A bit of clean up with compressed air and the soft brush should complete the job.

heatsink 2

Often, the heat sink and fan are part of an integrated unit in one casing. In this event, check your service manual for removal instructions, because hard-to-reach dust can get clogged up under this cover and in vents.
A third, common heat sink configuration uses a pipe to vent hot air away to a fan from a flat or fin-style heat sink. If this is the case, once again, it may be better if you remove the component to clean out any dust that's become trapped around and under it.
Fans and vents
As for case fans, these can be removed and the blades wiped clean with cotton buds. It's never a good idea to blow compressed air into them, because they may be forced to spin in the wrong direction, damaging them.
Before you close your machine up, take a good look down the sides of the case to locate the vents and passive heat sinks. Use your can of compressed air to carefully blow dust out of the case.

cleaning

Finally, take a tour of the ports around the machine. Angle the compressed air nozzle to blow dust out of them, taking care not to blow it deeper in.
Reassemble your machine carefully and you'll be able to enjoy a noticeably faster, cooler running notebook.
